Our Story
Nathan Brown began his career in metal fabrication more than 30 years ago, learning every aspect of the trade - from shipping and receiving to engineering support and value-driven design.

In 2004, he founded and went on to manage the sheet metal fabrication division of Middleton Machining in Middleton, Wisconsin. Over the years, he helped build the operation into a trusted, high-precision shop known for quality work, strong systems, and a skilled, long-tenured team.

In 2025, Nathan took the next step and purchased the sheet metal fabrication business he had helped build and lead for decades.

Metal Skills was born from that moment - a new chapter rooted in experience, precision, and pride in the work. Today, Metal Skills continues with the same trusted team, deep expertise, and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results.
This is a new beginning, grounded in decades of trust.

Nathan is a hands-on, customer-facing leader with a deep engineering mindset. He approaches every project asking, “What if?” - looking for ways to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and quality without unnecessary complexity.
